Privately owned and operated Accountant Firm is in need of a part-time assistant for their small accounting team.
Daily functions will include Assisting the CEO with Client Account updates, AR/AP, Data Entry and Payroll Processing. (Performs approximately 95% of the day) Assist with receivables and ensures all account activity are properly recorded and checks are entered; Must prepare all client deposits and will be responsible for filing and maintaining an organized system of all accounting documents; this would include but is not limited to accounts payable and accounts receivable external files; Assist preparing end of the year 1099’ s for contracted vendors; Perform accounts payable and prepare all bills for payment authorization by the CFO or CEO; Assist with processing payroll and sending documents to clients. Other clerical duties as assigned.
Bachelor' s degree or equivalent education; 3+ years’ experience preferred supporting a senior accountant; Advanced proficiency with MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint); Proficient knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software (desktop and online); Proficient knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable and accounting related terminology and methods; Excellent administrative, time management and organization skills; Excellent interpersonal skills; exceptional verbal and written communication skills; A high level of discretion and confidentiality for both business and personal affairs; Good judgment, strong common sense and excellent attention to detail.
