Job Description
Hire Up is seeking a skilled and reliable Apartment Maintenance Technician for our client in Fresno, CA! The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of an apartment community to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for residents. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems, appliances, and fixtures.
- Conduct inspections of apartments and common areas to identify maintenance issues and safety hazards.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and property management staff.
- Complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner while prioritizing urgent tasks.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the property, including grounds, hallways, and common areas.
- Assist with the turnover of apartments by performing painting, cleaning, and minor repairs as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including materials used and work performed.
- Assist with snow removal and landscaping duties as required.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in maintenance or a related field, preferably in the property management industry.
- Knowledge of basic repair and maintenance techniques for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail and a focus on quality.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques.
