Job Description
Hire Up Staffing is excited to partner with a reputable company in the Missouri City area to find a talented IT Support Technician to join their team immediately! This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a dynamic organization and contribute to its continued growth.
Position: IT Support Technician
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the initial point of contact for IT support across the organization.
- Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware components, replacing or repairing as needed.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues effectively.
- Provide technical support for employees facing computer or network challenges.
- Maintain and regularly update technical documentation.
- Test new hardware and software prior to full deployment.
- Assist with technical difficulties via call-ins or live chat.
- Support staff with hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Maintain and oversee the security, privacy, and proper functioning of business computer systems and technologies.
- Keep records of repairs, fixes, and maintenance schedules.
- Identify and report computer shortages, submitting requests for approval.
- Collaborate with other IT Technicians on hardware installations and troubleshooting.
- Respond to IT-related inquiries and ensure malware protection to prevent viruses or hacking.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and operational issues.
- Work both independently and within a team environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- 2-5 years of IT experience or experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting systems and resolving technical issues.
- Skilled in database programming and software installation.
- Proficient in MS Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Familiarity with a wide range of software and hardware.
- Willingness to travel to other locations when needed.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to bend, lift up to 15 lbs, twist, reach, stretch, push, and pull for up to 15% of the time.
- Frequent standing, walking, and climbing.
- Move, transport, install, or remove equipment weighing at least 50 lbs.
