Mail Clerk (On-Call / Part Time)

Hire Up Staffing Services has a printing company that we work with on a regular basis to bring in temporary staff to help out putting together mass mailers.  It' s basic hand work of stuffing envelopes, sorting papers, moving boxes and stamping.  Most of the position you will be sitting at a stool and working quietly to arrange these documents. 

This position is not full time.  This position is not part time.  This position is one that you are on a standby list so that when people are needed we send you a text message and email.  The first people to respond to that text message or email and can go out to the worksite right away will be sent over.  Typically the shifts are 4-8 hours at the most.  The pay is $10.50 an hour. 

Normally they work between 6am-6pm hours, but not the entire time.  There will be some days that the client tells us in advance and we arrange people for the next day to work early.  Most of the time we are notified mid day and sending people out right away.  That means that you may start sometime in the middle of the day and only work 2-6 hours depending on how quickly that you get there. 

The environment is casual and it' s a fun group of people to work with.  This is a great job to pick up extra cash while you' re in between jobs and not working, or you only work part time and want to have an extra job when you' re not scheduled to work.  You do not have to accept every shift that we text or email you about, but in order to be on the list you do have to be available to go out at least once a month.
