Growing Fresno manufacturing group has a need for a Quality Control Supervisor. The Quality Control Supervisor manages quality control operations for the manufacturing plant, and directs the Quality Control department to achieve goals, plans and targets. 

Key Responsibilities for the Quality Control Supervisor are: 
  •   Monitor Production Department' s conformance with QA standards and procedures. Conduct quality control training for employees engaged in material handling or product assembly. Suggest methods for improving product quality or design, or manufacturing processes.
  • Work from product engineering or quality control specifications, shop orders and instructions to perform inspection functions on machining and assembly work-in-process and on completed units under operating conditions.
  • Perform calibration on measuring instruments.
  • Determine inspection methods applicable to product quality standards.
  • Maintain a variety of inspection reports, calibration records and logs with particular attention to non-conforming material.  Responsible for developing quality reports, drawing conclusions and recommends improvements.
  • Collaborate with Project and Applications Engineers and Manufacturing Supervisors on resolutions of casting and pattern problems, implementation of engineering standards and specifications and make recommendations on the disposition of material.
  • Collaborate with Testing in the follow-up of problem related to in-process machining, fabrication or assembly.
  • Interpret regulations and standards (EHS & ISO); define & evaluate problems, collect data, draw conclusions, write reports and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Identify gaps in Quality Control procedures that describe ISO required processes and standards.
  • Manage multiple projects, assign and manage work activities, meet deadlines with management reporting.
  • Identify risk conditions and communicate issues and resolutions to management team.
  • Cooperate and Collaborate with Human Resources Department in all employee relations matters in accordance with policies and programs of the Company.
  • Direct, assist and train subordinates by setting performance expectations, assigning work, establishing priorities, appraising performance and making recommendations on wage and salary administration.

Qualifications for the Quality Control Supervisor include a minimum of 15 years of experience in QC in a manufacturing setting; experience with data collection and route cause analysis investigation, along with good written and verbal communication and presentation skills. ASQ Quality Inspector certification is preferred, along with ASNT certification.
