Job Description
Hourly Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule/Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm OR Tuesday-Saturday 8am-5pm
TWO shifts available- take your pick!
Duties:
- Handling phone calls in a professional and timely manner.
- Responding to email requests professionally and promptly.
- Providing general customer service.
- Conducting research on shipments for corporate requests and reports.
- Researching shipments for accounting requests and reports.
- Communicating charges with the accounting department when external vendors are involved.
- Demonstrating a clear understanding of TSA regulations.
- Crafting pickup and delivery routes and maintaining communication with drivers throughout the day.
- Adapting daily routes to meet customer needs.
- Acting as a communication bridge between customers, drivers, and sales.
- Nurturing strong relationships with drivers and customers.
- Scheduling residential pickups.
- Willingness to work overtime if needed.
- Proficiency in accurate typing at a minimum speed of 35 words per minute.
- Intermediate-level proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Strong written and oral communication skills are imperative.
- Capacity to manage deadlines effectively.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local and surrounding roadways.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, particularly in high-pressure situations.
- Bilingual Spanish desired, not required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years of dispatching experience.
