Job Description


Hire Up Staffing is recruiting for an Accounting Assistant position for a well-established organization in the Visalia  area. Pay rate between $16-18.00/hr.

 

Essential Job Functions:
  • Enter invoices in the accounting system.
  • Process requisitions, payments, receipts, and other necessary accounting activities, which may include accounts receivable and payable.
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and other receiving documents.
  • Key in data and produces standard documents.
  • Maintain financial records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Gather and prepare information for various reports, spreadsheets, proposals, routine and confidential correspondence.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including, mailing, typing correspondence, report preparation, faxing, filing, follow up with other company accounting departments, and other related job tasks.
  • Consistently meet established deadlines, ensuring that work/processes are complete and adequate time is provided for review.
  • Manufacture bulk and bagged products within accounting system in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Reconcile perpetual inventory with physical inventory.
  • Provide back-up support for other roles as necessary.
  • Available for overtime work on a scheduled or call-in basis, as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) years’ progressive experience in advanced clerical work/bookkeeping.
