Hire Up Staffing is recruiting for an experienced HR & Safety Manager for a well established business in the Fresno  area!

This is a Direct Hire opportunity with a competitive starting salary!

Human Resources Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide overall company safety and human resources management; assisting and advising Granite
  • Mountain employees and senior management in these areas
  • Monitor long-range HR planning goals in accordance with company and senior management
  • priorities
  • Maintain company HR and Safety policies/procedures; including employee handbook and safety
  • manuals
  • Manage employee recruitment in compliance with affirmative action, EEOC, ADA and other
  • applicable employment law (posting announcements, screening, interviewing, hiring and on-boarding
  • candidates; including management of necessary pre-employment medical examinations,
  • certifications or background checks)
  • Manage employee relations. Communicate with employees regarding company policies and/or
  • applicable employment law
  • Continuous development and improvement of new-hire orientation/on-boarding processes; creating
  • a positive process for engaging and following up with new employees
  • Continuous development and improvement of employee appreciation, incentive, engagement,
  • education and wellbeing programs
  • Administer company benefits plans, making suggestions to senior managers of any proposed
  • changes in benefits
  • development, discipline or termination
  • Assist with daily/weekly time and attendance reports and tracking
  • Safety Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and compliance of DOT driver qualification files and DOT Medical Certifications
  • Develop and maintain company safety, health and environmental policies and procedures in
  • accordance with all applicable, local, state and federal regulatory compliance
  • Responsible for emergency preparedness policy and procedures
  • Adhere to all company policies and codes of the employee handbook
  • All other duties assigned

Qualifications:
  • Ability to cultivate relationships, build consensus and work effectively as a team member
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. The ability to effectively
  • communicate, coordinate and interact with upper senior management, managers, supervisors,
  • employees and other departments.
  • Ability to create, organize, interpret, analyze and read HR, financial and legal documents
  • Mathematical and analytical skills to develop and interpret HR and financial records
  • Ability to perform time management, organization and prioritization skills; handling multiple priorities
  • in a flexible, fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace diversity and ethical practices
  • Computer – proficiency in computer applications to assist in executing the business processes
  • Work independently with little supervision
  • SHRM-CP or PHR Certification preferred
