Hospital Admitting Specialist

Are you looking to work within the medical industry? If so, we are looking for you! We need several Hospital Admitting Specialists for a premier medical facility in Bakersfield, CA!. Typical starting pay range is $15-16/hour and typically work 40 hours per week! Jobs start out on Hire Up' s payroll and then are hired on after successful completion of your trial period. Usually perm hires include a pay evaluation that could include an increase, plus EXCELLENT employee benefits!
A day in the life in this role:
- Heavy customer service
- Taking co-payments
- Insurance verification and authorizations
- Collecting patient information and insurance
- Data entry
- Able to work well under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Efficient in customer service
- 1+ years’ experience in medical industry
- High school grad! (or equivalent)
- Has the desire to make a career within the medical industry
Qualifications to apply:
- Must have a MINIMUM of 1 full year of full time medical office experience
- Time spent on internships or externships do not count toward experience
- Education in medical terminology or medical degree a HUGE plus, but does not take place of the 1 year working experience in a medical office in order to be qualified to apply
