The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to problem solve and most importantly produce more loans. We are very volume-oriented and this position is specifically tasked with creating leads and converting those leads to loans.
This not a “ boiler room” type of position; we are not hiring a “ bull pen” of loan originators, we are looking for one well-qualified individual to represent this segment of our company. The ideal candidate will be a leader with long-term career goals and will take ownership of this division and will personally ensure that it hits or exceeds all target metrics.
The below qualifications are comprehensive and while we would appreciate an individual with all characteristics, we understand a great candidate may or may not have all of our specific requirements.
The ability to have extensive and intelligent conversations with potential borrowers on our loan products and how we can meet their unique needs.
Must have the ability to operate, run and manage our marketing platform for origination including our CRM system, salesforce.com, blogs, newsletters, origination tracking, etc.
Must be able to data mine, seek target customers and borrowers and network to locate such. This is not a position of waiting for the phone to ring from potential prospects. This candidate must have a strong personality to data mine and drive to locate such prospects.
Very professional and polished tone, dress and demeanor while “ selling” our loan products; in person, on the phone and via email.
In-depth knowledge in loan origination, preferably with private money loans.
The ability to prioritize changing tasks and work within tight timeframes, with multiple deadlines.
Must be able to interface with brokers and potential borrowers of all levels of sophistication.
Ideally, the candidate will have a contact base within the private-money industry, but the ability and personality to seek out and “ mine” other sources of qualified borrowers will be favorably considered as well.
Excellent customer service skills, and the ability to find and capture new business and turn them into repeat customers.
Must be technologically savvy, including heavy spreadsheet reporting, email, word processing, internet, etc.
PLUS, would be an exceptional plus if this person has underwriting, loan docs, due diligence, title and escrow and funding experience.
