Job Description
Hire Up Staffing & Healthcare is looking for a Medical Assistant that is interested in joining a recognized healthcare company in Bellaire, TX, on a temp assignment.
Pay $17/hr.-$21/hr. (vary depending on experience)
Hours: Mon-Thurs, 8am-5pm and Fri, 8am-4pm (must be flexible)
Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms for patients before and in between visits
- Escort patients to examination rooms
- Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on patients' charts
- Send out prescriptions and complete prior authorizations for prescriptions
- May be required to float to other clinics as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of recent Back Office Medical Assistant experience.
- Previous dermatology medical assisting experience strongly preferred.
- Must have EMR/EHR experience; EMA EHR
- Must have successfully completed a Medical Assisting program from an accredited university.
- Nationally Certified/Registered MA strongly preferred. Must be willing to take the National Exam if not.
