Job Description

Hire Up Staffing is currently interviewing for a Contract AP Clerk with our client located in Kerman, CA. 

Schedule: 
M-F 8am-4:30pm with 30min lunch or 8am-5pm with 1 hour lunch
Salary: $20.00-$22.00 hourly

Summary:

In the Accounts Payable Clerk role, you will be responsible for ensuring all company invoices are properly recorded, tracked, approved, and paid, as well as supporting the accounting department in other areas as needed. Work under close supervision and follow established procedures to maintain accounting records and process accounts payables according to standard accounting procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Applicant should have experience processing vendor invoices and working with accounting software.
  • Candidate should be process oriented with good organization and communication skills and a positive attitude who can work effectively in a deadline driven environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel spreadsheets is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree or higher a plus.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for receiving, processing, and verifying invoices related to accounts payables.
  • Disburse invoices for proper approvals.
  • Enter invoices received on a daily basis while maintaining records by scanning and filing documents.
  • Allocate costs and charges to various divisions and cost centers.
  • Analyze terms and conditions with vendors to verify charges.
  • Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
  • Work with external vendors to resolve any invoice problems or inaccuracies.
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
