Job Description

Hire Up Staffing is assisting our non-profit client in Visalia to find their next Accountant!  This Accountant will report to the Chief Financial Officer and play a vital role in managing the fiscal affairs of the organization.  This is a direct hire opportunity with a hourly pay range of $25/hr-$32/hr, depending on experience.  This company also offers:

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Review and maintain familiarity with individual contract requirements and report any irregularities 
  • Prepare property tax reports 
  • Assist in developing annual budgets 
  • Reconcile monthly corporate statements to the general ledger, focusing on payroll activities.
  • Prepare financial reports 
  • Monitor and assist in the preparation of Agency invoices and billings 
  • Assist with periodic audits performed by contracting agencies and the annual independent audit of the Agency.
  • Maintain and reconcile financial data, interpret results, and prepare reports for management.
  • Analyze the general ledger and prepare accruals and adjustments for monthly and annual financial reports.
  • Instruct program employees on proper transaction recording and record maintenance related to client cash funds.

Essential Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/business or equivalent education/experience.
  • Two (2) years’ experience 
  • Ability to monitor, analyze, and implement accounting systems 
  • Handle multiple priorities and function independently.
  • Coordinate work with various programs, directors, and fiscal staff.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Office 365, Teams, Zoom, and other communication/meeting platforms.
  • Ability to coordinate and train staff members.
  • Willingness to travel to various program sites if necessary.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a dependable means of transportation.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
