Job Description

Junior Accountant
Willis, TX | Temp-to-Hire | Full-Time | $48,000-$52,000 Annually

A growing and established manufacturing company in Willis, Texas is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join its Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to grow their career with a stable organization.

This position is fully onsite and offers the opportunity to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.
Schedule
  • Monday–Friday
  • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Occasional overtime as needed during peak workloads
Responsibilities
  • Process Accounts Payable invoices and vendor payments
  • Manage Accounts Receivable, collections, customer statements, and account reconciliations
  • Perform bank reconciliations and prepare deposits
  • Process employee expense reports and credit card reconciliations
  • Create customer invoices and maintain billing records
  • Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities
  • Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules
  • Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
  • Process sales commissions
  • Prepare and file sales and use tax returns
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices and account balances
  • Assist with financial reporting and special projects
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • 1–2 years of accounting or finance experience
  • Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • General Ledger experience
  • Bank reconciliation experience
  • Sales tax filing experience
  • Expense reconciliation experience
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
Technical Requirements
Advanced Excel skills are required and will be tested during the interview process.

Candidates should be proficient with:
  • Pivot Tables
  • VLOOKUPs
  • Formulas
  • Macros
  • Financial reporting and data analysis

Experience with SAP is a plus.
