Accountant
Job Description
Willis, TX | Temp-to-Hire | Full-Time | $48,000-$52,000 Annually
A growing and established manufacturing company in Willis, Texas is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join its Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to grow their career with a stable organization.
This position is fully onsite and offers the opportunity to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Occasional overtime as needed during peak workloads
- Process Accounts Payable invoices and vendor payments
- Manage Accounts Receivable, collections, customer statements, and account reconciliations
- Perform bank reconciliations and prepare deposits
- Process employee expense reports and credit card reconciliations
- Create customer invoices and maintain billing records
- Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities
- Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Process sales commissions
- Prepare and file sales and use tax returns
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices and account balances
- Assist with financial reporting and special projects
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 1–2 years of accounting or finance experience
- Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- General Ledger experience
- Bank reconciliation experience
- Sales tax filing experience
- Expense reconciliation experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
Advanced Excel skills are required and will be tested during the interview process.
Candidates should be proficient with:
- Pivot Tables
- VLOOKUPs
- Formulas
- Macros
- Financial reporting and data analysis
Experience with SAP is a plus.
