Job Description
Hire Up Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Accounting Operations Associate for a respected client in the travel and hospitality industry. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Director to manage core accounting functions, with the opportunity to grow into a senior finance leadership role within 1–2 years.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $33.00/hour DOE
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Operations:

Handle daily accounting tasks with accuracy and timeliness
-
Reconcile Stripe transactions and reservation system data into QuickBooks
-
Process daily check and ACH payment requests
-
Manage accounts payable and maintain vendor files
-
Reconcile monthly credit card statements and processing fees
-
Address and resolve payment disputes in coordination with internal teams
-
Troubleshoot Stripe payment issues as needed
-
Set up new events in QuickBooks and assign tracking numbers
-
Maintain properly categorized transactions across multiple accounts
-
Prepare and issue tenant invoices as needed
Reporting & Financial Support:
-
Generate financial reports using QuickBooks, Stripe, reservation software, and Excel
-
Support the Finance Director in tracking budgets, processing vendor payments, and analyzing financial data
-
Assist with document preparation for audits, tax filings, and CPA review
-
Help refine financial workflows and documentation to support future growth and scalability
-
3–5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a small business environment
-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
-
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks, Stripe, and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, formulas, charts)
-
Comfortable with Google Drive and Microsoft Office Suite
-
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and problem-solving ability
-
Ability to work independently while handling confidential information with integrity
-
Demonstrated initiative and interest in long-term career growth
-
Ambition to grow into a senior finance role within 1–2 years
Preferred but Not Required:
-
Background in the travel industry
-
Experience with financial dashboards, forecasting tools, or cash flow modeling
