Schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00am-5pm

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Job responsibilities mainly consist of the day-to-day accounting of G/L account, A/P, A/R, financial data, and completion of weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports. Primary emphasis is on accounting but, also includes administrative support as well as building maintenance support.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for managing all aspects of our accounting functions; review and approve journal entries, accruals, and general ledger reconciliations (month-end close process)
- End of Month Accounting Duties, including end-of-month reports such as balance sheet and profit & lost statement, for AP and AR, as well as other assorted reports.
- Collect and sort mail and make bank deposits
- Maintain and manage accounting paperwork, filing systems, and organization.
- Management of collections/late payments
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements
- Print and mail checks, as needed
- Knowledge of standard office procedures and practices (typing, filing, etc.)
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures and practices
- Phone etiquette
- MS Windows based software applications, specifically MS Word, MS Excel, etc.
- Bachelor degree preferred
- College course(s) or vocational training in accounting and office management
- 5+ years of experience in related field
