Job Description


Hire Up Staffing is looking for AP or Full-Charge Bookkeepers to join the team of a client of ours in Visalia CA.  These are contract to hire positions with a wonderful non-profit organization that prides themselves in make the difference in people's lives.  This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the financial health of the organization while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.  Hourly pay is up to $22/hr to start.  

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintain financial records and accounts 
  • Post expenditures, receipts, and other data to appropriate ledgers.
  • Pay vendors by scheduling and preparing checks and resolving discrepancies
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements 
  • Code accounts payable invoices to proper cost center .
  • Examine payable invoices and approving once determined as a valid request
  • Prepare reports required by government agencies 
  • Make follow-up contacts regarding vendors and payables 
  • Prepare and make bank deposits and/or reconciliations.
  • Maintain accounts payable files.

Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma.
  • College degree in finance, full charge bookkeeping certificate, or two (2) years bookkeeping experience.
  • Type 30 wpm.
  • 10-key by touch.
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, Office 365, Teams, Zoom, and other communication/meeting platforms.
