Job Duties
- Conduct thorough reviews of purchase orders, pricing agreements, and payment terms to ensure alignment and accuracy in accounts payable transactions.
- Utilize QuickBooks to accurately record and manage accounts payable transactions, including invoice processing, bill payments, and reconciliation.
- Continuously evaluate accounts payable procedures and workflows to identify areas for improvement and implement efficiency-enhancing measures.
- Cultivate strong relationships with vendors to facilitate smooth communication, resolve issues promptly, and negotiate favorable terms.
- Provide responsive and courteous assistance to internal and external stakeholders via phone calls, and maintain organized records through scanning and filing documents appropriately.
- Accurately input bills and timesheets into the system, ensuring adherence to payment schedules and departmental protocols.
- Review and process invoices for payment, verifying accuracy and validity before disbursing funds.
- Execute various accounting duties, including account maintenance tasks and recording cash transactions accurately.
- Coordinate with various vendors to ensure timely and accurate payment processing while maintaining positive relationships.
Qualifications
- Ability to accurately input data and information into accounting systems and databases.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in accounts payable processing and documentation.
- Understanding of payroll taxation principles and processes to facilitate accurate payroll-related transactions.
- Proficiency in utilizing QuickBooks for accounts payable management and familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Strong numerical aptitude and ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with vendors, team members, and other stakeholders.
- Prior experience in accounting roles or relevant certifications/degrees required.
