Accounts Receivable Supervisor

**Salary**: $68,000 - $78,000 per year
**Description**:
Are you ready to step into a pivotal role in our accounting department? We're seeking an Accounts Receivable Supervisor to join our team. As a key member, you'll collaborate closely with various departments to streamline processes and ensure our financial operations run smoothly. Reporting to the Controller, you'll play a vital role in preparing for an upcoming ERP transformation while championing continuous improvement within the accounts receivable function.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Supervise daily AR activities to ensure timely customer payments
- Direct, monitor, and distribute work to AR staff
- Maintain and document AR processes and procedures
- Train and onboard new hires on AR procedures
- Review and approve AR staff's timecards
- Monitor and maintain AR key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Conduct billing, collection, and reporting activities
- Review customer accounts and release orders according to credit limits
- Resolve payment discrepancies and irregularities
- Analyze credit applications for new customers
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Adhere to SOX compliance within the department
- Identify and implement accounting methods to improve efficiencies
**Requirements**:
- Minimum three years of experience in accounts receivable or accounting
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency with ERP software preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
