Job Description
Hire Up Staffing is seeking an experienced Wire Cutter in Austin, Texas to join a fast-paced distribution team.
Pay & Schedule:
- Pay Rate: $20/hour
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret customer, work, shipping, and transfer orders to determine materials needed
- Cut and spool various wire sizes using wire cutting machinery
- Accurately track wire footage on reels and update wire tag markers
- Monitor and communicate low inventory levels
- Move materials from receiving to storage or designated areas
- Scan, sort, and organize materials on racks, shelves, and bins
- Pick and assemble customer orders for shipment
- Prepare packages for shipping and distribution
- Perform cycle counts and verify inventory accuracy
Qualifications:
- Experience with wire cutting, specifically VNTC, THHN, XHHW, SER, URD, and Medium Voltage Cable preferred
- Previous warehouse, utility, or electrical distribution experience a plus
- Minimum of 6 months related experience or equivalent combination of education and training
- Forklift certification required
