Job Description
Medical Assistant (Spanish-Speaking) – Bakersfield, CA
Hire Up Staffing & Healthcare is seeking Spanish-speaking Medical Assistants to join a nationally recognized healthcare company in Bakersfield, CA. If you’re an entry-level Medical Assistant with at least 6 months of experience and a passion for patient care, we’d love to hear from you!
Pay: $22/hour DOE
Schedule: Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly manner
- Prepare and sanitize exam rooms before and between visits
- Assist patients with health questionnaires and escort them to examination rooms
- Record vital signs and patient information on charts (e.g., pulse, temperature, blood pressure)
- Support physicians during patient examinations and treatments
- Perform basic lab tasks like drawing blood and preparing specimens
- Set up procedure rooms with necessary supplies and clean instruments
- Cover front desk duties when needed and float to other clinics if required
Requirements:
- Medical Assistant Certificate
- 6 months minimum experience
- Fluent in Spanish
- BLS Certification
- Experience with E-Clinical Works (ECW) is a plus
- Must be reliable, punctual, and dependable
- COVID vaccination required by the facility
