Hire Up Staffing is seeking an exceptional candidate who can work as a Press Brake Operator in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

1st shift: 6am-4:30pm
Pay: up to $18 an hour or more depending on experience
 

Position Description
  • Mount, install, align and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines, using hand tools. Remove and replace punch hand dies
  • Monitor machine operation and control panels’ displays and compare readings to specifications to detect malfunctions and confer with the supervisor to resolve machine malfunctions or production errors or to obtain approval for continued production
  • Implement changes to machine programs and enter new specifications, using computers. Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures
  • Stop the machine to remove finished workpieces or to change the tooling setup, or workpiece placement, according to required machining sequences. Lift workpieces to machines manually or with another team member
  • Check to make sure that workpieces are properly lubricated and cooled during machine operation. Listen to machine during operations to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems. 

Job Duties:
  • Do basic algebra calculations.
  • Read blueprints and interpret blueprints.
  • Plan the appropriate machining sequences to produce assigned pieces from blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.
  • Abides by and is responsible for performing all duties assigned and in accordance with all environments, health, and safety regulations and practices pertinent to this position.
  • Read calipers and measure tapes.
  • Do work assigned by supervisor.
  • Work in team environment, be quality conscious and strive for continuous quality improvement with emphasis on Lean and 5s principles.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of experience in setting up and running a CNC Press Brake.
