**Position: Licensed Building Plans Examiner and Inspector**
Pay is negociable and reimbursement to keep up licenses are available, along with relocation to this beautiful beach area!
Company car included, computer equipment and gas card too!
**Qualifications:**
We're seeking individuals with a professional demeanor, a minimum of five (5) years as a licensed General Contractor, and expertise in technical and industry aspects. Candidates must hold a State of Florida Plan Review License (PX) in building or a State of Florida Inspector License (BN) in building. Alternatively, ICC Residential & Commercial Plans Examiner and/or Inspection certification in building is accepted. Knowledge of the Florida Building Code and construction regulations is essential.
**Responsibilities:**
Join CAP Government, Inc. as a licensed Building Plans Examiner and Inspector, contributing to inspection and plan review services for construction projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Interpretation and application of regulations in customer relations
- Reviewing construction blueprints, product approvals, shop drawings, and project documents
- Conducting examinations of building permit applications for compliance with codes
- Travel may be required for inspections and project management
- Preparing written and electronic reports, issuing notices of correction
- Resolving unique problems or situations
- Meeting with design professionals, contractors, and interested parties for technical code discussions
- Maintaining required records and reports
- Inspecting buildings for compliance with codes and related regulations
- Responding to inquiries from various stakeholders
- Performing general administrative/office work
- Interacting and communicating with supervisors, co-workers, homeowners, developers, and others
- Enforcing and explaining pertinent sections of codes
- Issuing verbal and written notices of code violation and citations
- Assisting in resolving complex customer service issues
- Maintaining records of customer service issues and resolutions
- Researching problems and complaints regarding code compliance
- Upholding high ethical, honesty, and moral standards
