Staffing Business Development Manager – Houston, TX (Account Executive – Staffing Industry)

**No hybrid or remote** Must live near the office to commute in everyday for office hours.

About the Role
We’re hiring a Business Development Manager for our Houston office. This is a 100% in-office position, aside from limited time spent visiting clients or prospecting in the field.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
- In-Office Time: 80% (at least 3–4 full days per week)
- Field Time: Up to 20% (approximately 4–8 hours per week)
Role Breakdown
- 40% In-Office Prospecting: High-volume cold calling, email outreach, and pipeline development
- 20% Field Work: Visiting local businesses, meeting decision-makers, and generating new opportunities
- 20% Account Management: Managing and growing job orders for accounts you develop or inherit
- 20% Administrative: CRM updates, quoting, notes, and client communication
What You’ll Do
- Prospect and develop new business within the Houston market
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Negotiate rates and service agreements
- Partner with recruiting teams to ensure successful placements
- Network through local events, HR groups, and business organizations
Who You Are
- You’re able to work in-office full-time in Houston with limited time in the field
- You enjoy a structured schedule and are comfortable with high-volume outbound calling
- You’re confident, professional, and relationship-driven
- You’re organized, self-motivated, and consistent in your follow-up
- You have at least 2 years of B2B sales experience in staffing or a related industry (payroll, HR services, etc.)
- Existing Houston market contacts are a strong plus
