Job Description

Attention all experienced Buyers! If you're well-versed in Texas State law, HUD procurement methods, and regulations, we want YOU!

Hire Up Staffing has teamed up with a prominent public housing entity in Fort Worth and we're on the lookout for a skilled Procurement Buyer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, solicitations, and contracts.
- Manage communications related to procurements.
- Request and review price quotations, and place orders.
- Monitor order status and resolve issues.
- Evaluate pricing information and make award recommendations.
- Maintain procurement records accurately.
- Collaborate with staff to develop procurement materials.
- Assist in asset inventories and administrative tasks.

  • Three years of relevant experience.
  • Certification as a Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) and Certified Professional Public Officer (CPPO) or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of procurement regulations and procedures.
  • Budgeting and resource allocation skills.
  • Strong communication and mathematical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Office Suite and procurement software.
  • Ability to build positive relationships and work under pressure.
  • Discretion and integrity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License.

Job Requirements

Exp. & knowledge of full-cycle procurement, knowledge of of State law HUD procurement methods & regs. self-motivated and able to hit the ground running.
