Location: Santa Barbara, CA
Job Summary:
Provide exemplary care to residents ranging from basic needs to activities of daily living, to recreational activities. Creates a safe environment in which to provide resident care. Duties and assignments may be adjusted at the discretion of the Director of Nursing Services and/or designee.
Schedule:
- Variable
- 6am- 2pm, 2pm-10pm or 10am-6pm
Pay:
- $27.00 - $32.00
Essential Job Functions:
- Engages residents in daily life activities (hygiene, grooming, mobility) and promotes autonomy and choice.
- Proactively organizes care, identifies resident needs and preferences, and communicates changes to the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT).
- Participates in resident activities, appointments, and care plan meetings.
- Collaborates to ensure residents have necessary supplies, equipment, and resources to pursue their interests.
- Helps create a home-like community environment.
- Performs dining support and light housekeeping duties.
- Maintains accurate documentation and reports unusual symptoms or concerns to supervisors.
- Assists with emergencies, safety procedures, move-ins/move-outs, and supports Licensed Nurses and IDT members.
- Communicates clearly and courteously with residents, families, guests, and team members; handles conflicts appropriately.
- Attendance required training and meetings; follows safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Promotes and protects residents’ rights.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Program meeting state requirements
- Minimum of one year experience preferred Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- CNA or NAC
- CPR
- First Aid
- Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of residents to position and transport
