**Position: CNC Machinist**
$23/hr. DOE
**Education: High School Diploma or GED Required**
**Shift: NIGHT SHIFT - 5:00PM TO 1:30AM (may start as early as 4:30pm or late as 3:30am)
**Job Role:**
Join this award winning company in Cedar Park, Texas, as a CNC Machinist. Utilize your expert knowledge to operate and control computer numerically controlled (CNC) Machines during our weekday Night shift.
**Job Responsibilities:**
- Safely and efficiently set up and operate a CNC Mill or CNC Lathe.
- Perform set-up, including locating tools and fixtures, defining tools, touching off tools, setting jaws, vices, or fixturing.
- Load parts utilizing overhead lifting equipment.
- Operate controls, set offsets, perform simple edits, and jog the machine.
- Read blueprints, use precision measuring instruments, and follow job orders to determine dimensions, tolerance, and tooling requirements.
- Maintain tolerances through the entire run, with periodic inspections documented on Inspection Sheets.
- Troubleshoot issues during the run to ensure the machine operates effectively.
- Keep equipment and work area clean, perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
- Properly deburr and break edges of parts to print.
- Comply with all Company and HSE policies and procedures.
**Facility Specific Responsibilities:**
- Identify and correctly utilize tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, and inserts.
- Write simple programs at the controls (preferred).
- Read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments, including profilometers, dial indicators, depth gages, OD/ID micrometers, and groove micrometers (preferred).
- Hold tight tolerances, often +/-0.0005 and finishes.
- Work to a dispatch report, ensuring jobs run in the proper sequence.
- Produce high-quality products that fully meet specifications.
- Maintain the area and equipment.
- Meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity measures.
**Qualifications/Requirements:**
- High school diploma or GED.
- Advanced knowledge of math, blueprint comprehension, and routers (preferred).
- Moderate knowledge of GD&T.
- Knowledge of the proper use of metrology equipment, tools/gauges, and cutting tools (preferred).
- 5+ years of relevant experience (preferred).
- Demonstrates a good work ethic.
- Ability to work well with the team.
