CNC Set-Up Technician
Fresno, CA | $18.00 – $30.00/hr DOE | Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire | Monday – Friday, Day Shift
We’re looking for an experienced CNC Set-Up Technician to join a growing manufacturing team in Fresno. This role requires hands-on expertise with CNC Mills and Lathes, Fanuc-based operating systems, and a solid track record of reliability and productivity. Key Responsibilities

Set up and install tools, fixtures, and programs for CNC Mills and Lathes.

Load and verify CNC programs, ensuring machine parameters are accurate.

Perform test runs and first-part inspections to confirm precision.

Troubleshoot and resolve setup or early production issues.

Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as needed for accuracy.

Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and precision instruments.

Maintain CNC machinery and perform basic service tasks.

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to guide setup.

Minimum 5 years of CNC set-up experience (mills and lathes in a machine shop environment).

Strong knowledge of Fanuc-based G-code; CAD/CAM basics a plus.

Steady employment history (2+ years in previous roles preferred).

Proficiency with measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.

Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills.

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or apprenticeship preferred.

Must be dependable, punctual, and productive.

CNC laser, plasma, waterjet, inkjet, or woodworking equipment experience.

CNC press brake, punch press, drill press, shirt press, coffee press, etc.

Experience limited to Mazak, Mitsubishi, or unrelated systems.

Operators of packaging machines, packing house machinery, soda/coffee/vending machines, etc.

Pay: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.
