Job Description
Hire Up Staffing is seeking a CNC Set-Up Technician for our client in Fresno, CA! This is a full-time, temp-to-permanent position with a Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm schedule.
A CNC Set-up Technician prepares CNC machines for production runs. They ensure that the equipment is properly set up before production begins, including installing tools, setting the correct machine parameters, and loading the right programs. They may assist operators as needed throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and set up tools, fixtures, and tooling for the CNC machine.
- Load CNC programs and verify machine settings.
- Ensure machine calibration and make adjustments to maintain correct operation.
- Set up and test the first parts of a production run to ensure they meet specifications.
- Troubleshoot minor issues that arise during the setup or early stages of production.
- Verify and maintain tool offsets, fixture offsets, and machine calibration.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience setting up CNC lathe and CNC mill machinery.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Ability to troubleshoot and ensure proper machine alignment before production begins.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges)
