Job Description


Hire Up Staffing & Healthcare is looking for a Medical Assistant that is interested in joining a recognized healthcare company in Houston, TX.

Pay $15/hr.-$22/hr. (vary depending on experience)
Hours: M-F 8-5pm (must be flexible)

Responsibilities
  • Prepare examination rooms for patients before and in between visits
  • Escort patients to examination rooms
  • Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on patients' charts
  • Send out prescriptions and complete prior authorizations for prescriptions
  • May be required to float to other clinics as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of recent Back Office Medical Assistant experience.
  • Previous dermatology medical assisting experience strongly preferred.
  • Must have EMR/EHR experience; Strongly prefer someone with EMA EHR or eClinical Works.
  • Must have successfully completed a Medical Assisting program from an accredited university.
  • Nationally Certified/Registered MA strongly preferred. Must be willing to take the National Exam if not.
