Job Description
Hire Up Staffing is in search of a Claims Examiner in Stockton, CA!
Schedule: Monday-Friday from 8:00am – 4:30pm.
Pay: $25/hr
Job Duties:
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to prepare, analyze, code, and input a variety of medical claims for payment.
- Prepare, analyze, code, and input a variety of medical claims for payment.
- Prepare clear and concise daily activity reports.
- Calculate figures and amounts for discounts, interest, and percentages.
- Analyze and determine financial responsibility of claims by using handouts and contracts.
- Participate in group meetings.
- Maintain strictest confidentiality of member health information.
- Other duties as assigned.
Performance Requirements: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to consistently process 30 encounter, 20 commercial and 18 senior claims per hour with 98% accuracy rate.
- Ability to work through complex issues relating to claims.
- Practice knowledge of and adherence to the company organizational policies, procedures, and systems.
- Knowledge of the company’s payment methodology of withholds, patient co-pays, patient co-insurance and payment deductibles.
- Knowledge of Health Plans, copays, policy & procedures.
- Knowledge of computer systems and applications with keyboard proficiency.
- Knowledge of research methods relating to complex claim issues.
- Strong communication skills both verbal/written.
- Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions.
- Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities paying particular attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain a neat and organized workspace.
- Ability to promote and participate in a teamwork environment.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalency.
- One year claims experience in healthcare setting
