Construction Assistant

Job Description
Pay: $18.00-$21.00
Schedule: M-F 6:30AM-3:30 with some overtime

Job Responsibilities:
- Assist Construction Manager in maintaining records of job changes
- Maintain daily log of job site occurrences
- Assist Construction Manager in all aspects of the construction job from trench to move-in
- Assist with the supervision of trade partners (Contractor and subcontractors) from rough, finish, detail, and preparation for final orientation
- Coordinate with Customer Care Representatives regarding quality and walk-through preparation of homes for move-in, ensuring timely home completions and deliveries
- Assist in the evaluation of trade partner’s and product performance. Provide ongoing information to Customer Care Manager
- Assist Construction Manager as it relates to quality of workmanship
- Contact with Contractors/Subcontractors on project schedules and maintaining communication on project completion date/estimated time of completion.
- Assist with the coordination of the project architects, designers, owners, subcontractors, and field personnel
- Schedule inspection with City and other authorities
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in Construction (required)
- Bilingual English/Spanish with strong communication and writing ability (preferred)
- Ability to work under pressure and in a time sensitive environment
- Experience with public projects in California (required)
- Effective oral and written communication skills are strongly desired
- Ability to work independently and with guidance from senior management
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience with project-related Construction Management systems are preferred
