Credentialing Specialist – Immediate Hire
Location: Stockton, CA
Pay: $21-$26/hour
Start Date: ASAP
We are looking for a Credentialing Specialist to join our team immediately in Stockton. This role is essential in managing provider credentials, ensuring compliance, and maintaining strong relationships with insurance carriers and healthcare providers.
Responsibilities:
- Set up new providers and manage insurance credentialing and contracting
- Maintain and update provider files to ensure all credentials are current and accurate
- Review, advise, and negotiate contracts with managed care and third-party payers
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PHI, and confidentiality regulations
- Follow up on applications to ensure timely credentialing
- Support office operations with critical thinking and problem-solving
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to think independently and assist others in the office
- Prior experience in credentialing is a plus, but training is available
