Customer Support Engineer (RF / Mission-Critical Communications)
In-Office | No Remote | No Relocation
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Customer Support Engineer to provide technical guidance and application support for highly specialized RF equipment used in mission-critical communications. This role supports customers, sales, and internal teams by delivering accurate technical recommendations and hands-on product expertise.
Important: This is not an IT, software, cellular, or general electrical role. Candidates with backgrounds primarily in IT or cellular wireless will not be considered.
Pay & Schedule

Schedule: Mon-Fri

Serve as a technical point of contact for customers and internal teams via phone and email

Answer application and product questions related to RF hardware and system configurations

Support sales efforts by reviewing customer requirements and recommending appropriate solutions

Assist with basic technical layouts, block diagrams, drawings, and equipment lists

Review customer orders to ensure selected equipment aligns with intended use

Provide troubleshooting guidance and clear technical explanations

Maintain and update product documentation, datasheets, and manuals

Learn and follow internal engineering and sales processes

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly

Willingness to learn specialized RF equipment, theory of operation, and tuning concepts

Ability to document processes, troubleshooting steps, and technical information

Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and similar tools

Detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology OR equivalent hands-on experience
-
8–10+ years of experience in RF, two-way radio, or mission-critical communications preferred

Experience with equipment such as transmitter combiners, RF filters, antennas, duplexers, receiver multicouplers, tower-top amplifiers, and custom RF subsystems

IT, networking, or cellular-only experience will not meet requirements

$45.67 per hour
