Job Description
Hire Up Staffing is currently seeking a dependable and safety-focused Non-CDL Delivery Driver for a temporary opportunity in Kenosha, WI. Pay & Schedule
- Pay: $24.00/hour
- Schedule: Monday-Friday
- Shift: 4:00 AM - 12:00 PM
In this role, you will safely operate a 26-foot automatic box truck to deliver electrical components to customers while ensuring timely, accurate, and professional service. This position requires a valid DOT Medical Card and involves approximately 85% driving with local routes averaging around 30 miles per day.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 26-foot automatic box truck with a liftgate.
- Deliver electrical components to customer locations accurately and on time.
- Load, unload, and transport materials using a dolly and hand cart.
- Obtain delivery signatures or electronic warehouse scans to confirm deliveries.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and working hour records.
- Communicate with dispatch regarding deliveries, delays, or route updates.
- Assist with planning and following efficient delivery routes.
- Follow all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and traffic laws.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean and organized.
- Provide outstanding customer service during every delivery.
- Safely lift and move materials weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
- Valid Non-CDL Driver's License (Class C, D, or E).
- Current DOT Medical Card required.
- Minimum 2-5 years of delivery driving experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age (insurance requirement).
- Clean driving record with no moving violations.
- Experience driving large vehicles, including maneuvering and parking.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
