Job Description
Hire Up is seeking an Eligibility Clerk I/II in Visalia, California!
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
Pay: $19.00 - 25.00 per hour
Duties:
- Assist applicants with housing applications and eligibility verification
- Conduct housing interviews and process applications
- Calculate rents, maintain tenant records, and process rent changes
- Maintain accurate financial and statistical records, handle data entry, and prepare reports
- Support team operations by covering various desk duties as needed
- Provide excellent customer service to applicants, tenants, and community partners
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years experience in a housing authority or similar role, handling eligibility, rent calculations, and public interactions
- Proficiency in MS Office and strong data entry skills
- Detail-oriented, with solid organizational and math skills
- Ability to interact with the public tactfully and professionally
- Spanish-speaking is a plus!
