Eligibility Clerk I/II
Job Description
Hire Up Staffing is seeking an Eligibility Clerk II for a County client in the Porterville area.. Upon a successful placement, this company offers a competitive benefits package including health insurance, life insurance, dental, 401K, PTO, paid holidays, and sick days!
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Interviews applicants for housing
- Processes applications and verifies eligibility/housing of applicants
- Determines residents' eligibility for continued occupancy
- Establishes rent
- Processes resident re-examinations
- Verifies statements of residents and others
- Assembles a variety of information from several sources
- Interprets and updates information into computer
- Explains conditions of occupancy
- Establishes and maintains various files
- Compiles and prepares statistical reports
- Performs other related work as required
Qualifications:
- Must have prior experience determining eligibility for assistance
- 1-2 years working in property management preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Highly proficient with a 10-key calculator
- Ability to pass an Eligibility Clerk test (must be taken at Hire Up office)
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check
