Job Title: Engineering Manager

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 annually


The Engineering Manager has full responsibility for all Engineering and Maintenance activities and serves as the primary liaison for all global Engineering and Maintenance activities. The focus is on providing quality equipment, facilities, services, and consultation within the defined budget to meet engineering department and plant/business unit requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Manages Engineering Functions to provide for future products and expansions, continuous improvement of existing processes and equipment, and oversees capital improvement programs.
- Directs and supports engineering and maintenance efforts to aid and improve plant production, including developing engineered solutions for safety and environmental issues.
- Assists and mentors principal contacts within and outside of the plant through technical expertise, training, and project leadership.
- Drives initiatives relating to Environmental, Health & Safety, Quality, People, Cost, Growth, and Continuous Improvement.
- Provides expert process knowledge and applies engineering science to establish and maintain control and capability for production processes.
- Maintains a high level of internal control over assigned business processes and implements controls to manage business risks.
- Recognizes the need, investigates feasibility, and implements various advanced concepts and major improvements in all production areas.
- Provides comprehensive problem-solving capability and contributes to cost reductions through method improvements.


Manages Plant Capital Improvement Program:

- Assists in preparing plant capital plan and cost estimates for projects.
- Manages all phases of the Capital Project implementation process and location’s capital budget.
- Ensures contractor safe practices and safety evaluations.

Manages Plant Maintenance Department:

- Creates and coordinates plant maintenance strategy, including training.
- Ensures preventive and predictive maintenance programs meet plant needs.
- Investigates and resolves manufacturing problems and conducts studies related to design and production methods.
- Monitors and reports on cost reductions resulting from method improvements.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in a related field with 10 to 15 years of progressive engineering and maintenance experience, including five years of management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, basic web tools, and computer-aided design and engineering.
- Excellent communication skills and aptitude for detailed work.
- Lean Six-Sigma certification is a plus.
