Job Description

Job Title: Entry-Level Construction Superintendent - Direct Hire

Position Overview:
The Entry-Level Construction Superintendent plays a crucial role in leading, coordinating, and scheduling production and workforce engaged in various construction activities on a construction project. Reporting directly to the project Manager, this role supervises assigned project work and labor personnel to ensure daily schedules are met, plans work methods and materials, and ensures adherence to safety regulations and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Supervise assigned project work and labor personnel to meet daily schedule requirements.
  • Plan work methods, materials, equipment needs, and work schedule for assigned project work, updating schedules as needed based on project feedback.
  • Complete company-required or regulatory documents such as Weekly Jobsite Inspection sheet, and timesheets.
  • Review and understand project specifications to support job setup activities, identifying hazardous areas on the job site in coordination with work crews and local utility companies.
  • Coordinate with the internal equipment team to ensure project work is equipped with appropriate equipment and material quantities.
  • Forecast work schedules to identify potential issues and provide technical or scheduling recommendations to mitigate production issues.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety and process controls regarding equipment operation, worksite safety, and documentation requirements, including recommending training needs.
  • Supervise subcontractor production and workforce regarding assigned project work, recommending work schedule or work method adjustments as needed.
  • Coordinate project closeout activities in line with company standards and Owner checklist requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of Company’s values and strategic plans and support published corporate policies.
  • Perform additional assignments per management’s direction.

  • Multi-family Residential Construction experience
  • Proficiency in reading and writing in English, along with basic math skills.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience managing construction activities and labor staff.
  • Minimum of 3 years' construction experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of tool and equipment safety.
  • Understanding of construction methods and safety requirements on project sites.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Organizational and document control skills.
  • $45k/yearly salary
