Job Title: HVAC Commercial & GSM Estimator

Compensation: $35.00 – $45.00/hour (Depending on Experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
Hire Up Staffing is currently hiring a Commercial HVAC and GSM Estimator for one of our respected clients located in Fresno, CA. This full-time role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in commercial HVAC estimating and experience working with Title 24 energy compliance requirements. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive proposals for commercial HVAC projects while working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial HVAC projects, including equipment, materials, labor, and subcontractor pricing

  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents to develop bids and proposals

  • Ensure all estimates comply with Title 24 energy standards and local building codes

  • Conduct job walks and site visits to gather information for estimates

  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure alignment with project goals

  • Maintain organized records of bids, proposals, and project documentation

  • Track and follow up on submitted bids and pending projects

  • Participate in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives
Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in HVAC estimating and GSM (General sheet metal), with a commercial focus

  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings

  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills

  • Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously
