Job Description

Hire Up Staffing has a Direct Hire opportunity in West Houston for a Human Resource Generalist with at least 5 years of experience!
  
As a HR Generalist, you will play a vital role in supporting employees, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations. You will provide comprehensive HR services to both employees and management, manage HR programs, and contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Employee Relations:
    • Address employee concerns and conflicts, mediate disputes, and provide guidance on HR-related issues.
    • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture by organizing employee engagement activities and initiatives.

  2. Recruitment and Onboarding:
    • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
    • Coordinate recruitment processes, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and making job offers.
    • Lead new employee onboarding and orientation programs.

  3. Performance Management:
    • Administer performance appraisal processes and provide guidance to managers on performance improvement plans.
    • Assist in talent development and succession planning efforts.

  4. Benefits and Compensation:
    • Manage employee benefits programs and help employees understand and utilize their benefits.
    • Conduct salary analysis and assist in compensation reviews.

  5. Compliance and Policies:
    • Ensure HR policies and procedures are consistently applied and compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Keep up-to-date with employment laws and regulations, making necessary updates to company policies.

  6. HR Data and Analytics:
    • Maintain HR records and databases, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
    • Generate HR reports and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  7. Training and Development:
    • Coordinate training and development programs for employees and assist in talent management initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR roles, with a strong background in HR generalist functions.
  • Bilingual French is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.
