Job Description
We are currently seeking a Human Resources Specialist for a top client of ours in the Modesto - Stockton area!
The HR Specialist will partner with the HR Director regarding employee onboarding, employee inquires, recruiting, social media messaging, risk management, compliance, employee training and provide complex and confidential administrative support to the HR department. Pay: $80,000 depending on experience.
The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years experience supporting a busy Human Resources department, strong MS Excel/Word skills and is customer service oriented. MUST have Ag experience and be bilingual in Spanish.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Acts as the first point of contact for the HR Team and performs customer service functions by answering employees requests and questions or directing them to the correct point of contact.
- Manages the on-boarding process of new employees, including the facilitation of New Hire Orientation & Employee Benefits Education Session.
- Oversees hiring and firing of internal employees.
- Oversee Employee Handbook and updates.
- Responds and works closely with Benefits, Payroll, Leave Management to answer employees questions and inquiries, helps them with their benefits, LOAs, payroll or other needs.
- Communicates, coordinates, and administers benefits open enrollment for current and new hires costs and updates Benefits presentations and employee communications.
- Partners with supervisors, HR team and HR Director and follows up on leave status, return to work process and ADA as needed in accordance with federal, state policies and proactively communicates the status to supervisors.
- Assists with the termination processes within the system, conducts exit interviews and coordinates pay requests.
- Systematically administers employee personnel files and ensures compliance with Federal/State laws and postings.
- Responsible for employee files, data retention, and maintenance of employee files.
- Oversees updating policies and procedures, updating new CA laws, and OSHA regulations.
