Job Description
Hire Up Staffing is currently seeking a HR Specialist for a community service organization in Visalia. This is a 1 month assignment, but has the possibility of turning temp-to-hire and hired on permanently. Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Pay rate $20.62/hr.

Summary: Assists the Human Resources Department in meeting departmental goals and requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Inputs and maintains accuracy of employee information into Accufund system
- Complies information and responds to request from outside agencies/companies pertaining to employment verification, unemployment claims disability verifications, salary/benefit comparability request
- Assists in the dissemination of corporate personnel policies and procedures
- Coordinates and performs employee orientations to include assisting new employees with completing necessary employment records and coordinating benefit enrollments
- Generates reports, routine and upon request, to meet departmental goals
- Responds to telephone inquiries from public or employees
- Assists in developing, conducting, and tracking safety and general office tracking
- Assists in compiling AA/EEO information from applications, handles computer input and reporting requirements
- Assists Human Resources staff as needed
- Assists in maintaining employment recruitment by scheduling and conducting interviews and sending communication to potential applicants
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Proficient with MS Office
- Associates' degree; or two years of experience in related field; experience in Human Resources a plus
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
