Irrigation Manager

Job Description
Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 annually
Location: Can live anywhere in California, will be traveling to all major installation projects throughout the West Coast
Benefits: Company car or allowance and gas card provided. Must be able to work on farm land/properties, all of which are undergoing new crop irrigation installations.

Primary Purpose:
The Project Installation Manager oversees all aspects of project execution, including subcontractor negotiations and oversight, material supply, scheduling, site safety, installation quality, system testing and commissioning, and adherence to budgets and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage installation of large-scale drip irrigation projects from initiation to close.
- Review design guidelines with the global projects team and client to verify project outcomes.
- Interface with commercial organization to select appropriate dealers and subcontractors.
- Establish project management plans, including scope, activity plans, and sequence.
- Maintain project schedule, assign resources, and report progress regularly.
- Confirm installation per designs, troubleshoot design questions, and field issues.
- Prepare progress reports internally and for the client regularly.
- Manage deviations from planned baselines and ensure safety on project sites.
Requirements:
Proficiencies-Competencies:
- Bachelor’s Degree in production agriculture, agricultural business, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience managing installation of large-scale agricultural drip irrigation systems.
- Familiarity with drip irrigation systems design, CID certification preferred.
- Experience installing and troubleshooting irrigation control automation.
- Outstanding computer skills (MS Office required).
- Thoughtful and effective communicator.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group and independently with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail, quality orientation, and strong organizational skills.
- Daily travel to project sites required.
