Job Title: Groundskeeper (Part-Time)
Location: Clovis, CA
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday | Part-Time | 6 Hours per Day
Hire Up Staffing is currently hiring for a reliable and hardworking Groundskeeper on behalf of a valued client located in Clovis, CA. This is a part-time opportunity with steady weekday hours, ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. The property is a well-maintained 55+ residential community, and a high level of professionalism and respect for residents is expected.
Position Overview:
The Groundskeeper is responsible for the daily upkeep and cleanliness of a 10-acre, 28-building property. Duties include general grounds maintenance, reporting maintenance concerns, and ensuring that all common areas are clean and orderly. This role is essential in supporting the community’s high standard of living and appearance.
Daily Responsibilities Include:

Walk the property each morning with a pushcart to pick up trash, paper, or debris, ensuring the grounds are clean for the day.

Inspect and sweep dumpster enclosures.

Clean up along the full length, including the property frontage, streets, and gutters.

Note any issues (e.g., broken sprinklers, tree limbs, building or fence damage) and report to the office daily.

Use a leaf blower to clear sidewalks around the office, recreation building, and pool area.

Organize pool and recreation furniture; inspect and clean the bathrooms, kitchen, fitness room, and lounge. Empty trash cans as needed.

Check and clean laundry rooms; empty trash.

Wipe down and charge the office golf cart daily.

Weekly: Wash all golf carts, check battery water levels and tire pressure, and report any needed repairs to management.

Test swimming pool water weekly, complete report form, and submit to the office.

Perform de-webbing of buildings and carports.

Clean and organize the maintenance/shop area.

Assist in cleaning the community van and wipe down mailboxes.

Maintain cleanliness of the office area.

Check in with maintenance and office staff before ending each shift to ensure all duties are complete. This large community always has tasks to be addressed.
Qualifications:

Previous groundskeeping or general maintenance experience preferred.

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Must be respectful and courteous in a senior living community setting.

Capable of physical labor including lifting, walking, bending, and using maintenance tools/equipment.
Compensation & Schedule:

Pay: $20.00/hour

Schedule: Part-Time, 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday
