Job Description
Position Overview:
This job involves providing emergency carpentry services and operational support for clients undergoing reconstruction. Responsibilities include overseeing multiple projects, training less experienced carpenters, and maintaining equipment. Tasks may involve emergency services like boarding up buildings. Advanced carpenters in this role are expected to be knowledgeable about equipment, tools, and construction materials, with opportunities to advance to estimating or superintendency roles.
Responsibilities:
- Recognize and report potential project problems promptly.
- Train Carpenter Basic and Intermediate team members.
- Answer project-related questions and direct complex inquiries to appropriate resources.
- Construct containment for dust and contaminants.
- Perform tasks like flood cutting, salvaging, and labeling.
- Identify insulation types and characteristics.
- Apply skills in trim, doors, cabinetry, framing, ceilings, roofing, and siding.
- Conduct vehicle safety inspections and maintenance.
- Maintain attention to detail and adhere to customer service standards.
- Work within specified timelines.
- Accurately report time worked and resources used.
- Attending company-sponsored training courses.
