Maintenance Mechanic Helper
Job Description
Hire Up Staffing is actively seeking a motivated Helper Mechanic to support the maintenance and upkeep of industrial laundry machinery. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with equipment, learning repair techniques, and ensuring smooth facility operations.
Role Overview:
As a Helper Mechanic, you will assist with maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, presses, and conveyors. You’ll work closely with the maintenance team to keep machines running efficiently while supporting installations and general upkeep of the facility.
Primary Responsibilities:

Support maintenance and repair tasks on industrial laundry equipment.

Operate and monitor machinery to ensure optimal performance.

Assist with installing new equipment and replacing worn or faulty components.

Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and prevent downtime.

Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and parts inventory.

Record and track maintenance activities and repair work accurately.

Follow all company safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.

Perform additional tasks as needed to support the maintenance team and facility operations.
Physical Requirements:

Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.

Ability to lift and carry items up to 75 pounds.

Comfortable working with hands-on machinery and tools.
Work Environment:

Industrial facility setting with typical machinery noise and vibration.

Occasional exposure to moving parts, dust, and equipment fumes.
-
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required for certain tasks.
Shift & Schedule Requirements:

Second shift schedule

Must be flexible to work weekends as required
