Compensation: $24–$27 per hour, depending on experience

Hire Up Staffing is partnering with a leading food manufacturing company near Bakersfield, CA, to find an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join their growing team. This position plays a key role in keeping production equipment operating safely and efficiently through preventative maintenance, repairs, and process improvements.

Hire Up Staffing is partnering with a leading food manufacturing company near Bakersfield, CA, to find an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join their growing team. This position plays a key role in keeping production equipment operating safely and efficiently through preventative maintenance, repairs, and process improvements.
Responsibilities

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment to minimize downtime.

Utilize predictive maintenance tools such as thermal imaging, vibration analysis, and ultrasonics to identify potential issues.

Fabricate and repair parts using welding, cutting, and other shop equipment.

Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety policies and regulations, including LOTO, fall protection, and hot work procedures.

Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues and improve reliability.

Document maintenance activities, update work orders, and maintain accurate equipment records.

Provide training and guidance to operators and other maintenance personnel as needed.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Technical degree or certification preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Welding and fabrication experience required.

Ability to troubleshoot efficiently and work independently or as part of a team.
