***Hire Up Staffing is hiring skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Technicians in the NE Houston Area!***
Educational Requirements:
- Possess a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, and machine repair.
- Exhibit a robust background in electrical systems, apparatus, and components.
- Showcase expertise in troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing machines such as Lathes, Mills, Grinders, etc.
- Possess the ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Display proficiency in fundamental mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Acquire knowledge and skills to work with Electrical, Controls, Heat Induction, PLCs, Variable Speed Drives, Mechanical, Welding and Fabrication, Hydraulics, Plumbing, and Pneumatics.
Responsibilities:
- Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to the problem area.
- Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
- Remove and replace worn or defective parts of the drive mechanism or hydraulic system.
- Coordinate all shutdowns and repairs in collaboration with supervisors and operators, ensuring adherence to proper safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout.
- Execute daily preventive maintenance functions as scheduled.
- Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed equipment.
- Connect power supply wires to equipment.
- Diagnose, test, replace, and repair faulty machinery, electronic components, and apparatus.
- Record inspection and test results, preparing and submitting reports to maintenance engineering personnel.
- Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.
- Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors, including speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
- Realign and adjust components such as spindles and clutches.
- Locate damaged air and hydraulic pipes on the machine, measure, cut, thread, and install the new pipe.
- Start machines and equipment to test operation following repair.
- Assist the Mechanical Engineer in suggesting modifications to designs of machine components such as hydraulic systems and drives.
- Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining.
- Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
- Verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.
- Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
Shift- Rotating shifts from days to nights to swing shift weekly.
