Maintenance Technician

Job Description
Hire Up Staffing is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the team of our amazing client in Livermore! They have two locations, one is in Redwood City and this person will work between both.
Day Shift: 4am-12:30pm to start (may change to 7am-3:30pm or 8am-4:30pm after training)
Pay: $18-$40 DOE
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality
- Detect malfunctions through observation (sounds, visual or computer diagnostic)
- Make required repairs in a timely manner
- Thoroughly clean machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary
- Oil and lubricate moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance
- Order necessary parts to perform scheduled and nonscheduled maintenance
- Build and maintain mechanical systems, to include the use of a variety of hand and power tools
- Use of aerial/scissor lift to access areas at height for inspection and repair
- Use of forklift to move machinery and equipment for inspection and repair
- Perform monthly inspections of fire extinguishers
- Perform general maintenance work on building as assigned to include plumbing, electrical work and painting
- Schedule, oversee and assist assigned contractors, ensuring the safety, quality and cleanliness of work performed
- Perform electrical assignments, such as replacing lamps, ballasts, switches, receptacles, and cord caps, wiring single and three-phase motors, and installation of circuits (110V, 220V, 480V and DC voltage)
- Understand of electric/equipment controllers
- Perform daily site inspections of facilities and mechanical equipment to ensure proper operation
- High School diploma preferred, completion of trade school or technical training preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a production/manufacturing environment is preferred
